Recent polling for the September 20 Berlin Abgeordnetenhaus election shows a fragmented race, with Die Linke, CDU, AfD, and Greens clustered between roughly 16% and 22% in surveys from Civey, INSA, and Infratest dimap. The CDU’s support has hovered near 19-20% after lead candidate Kai Wegner stepped aside in July and Stefan Evers took over, preventing any sustained rebound from the party’s 28.2% result in the 2023 repeat election. This volatility, combined with first-time voting by 16- and 17-year-olds and the risk that no bloc secures a clear majority, keeps projected CDU seat totals tightly bunched across the mid-20s to upper-30s ranges. Trader prices reflect the narrow gaps between plausible outcomes under different turnout and coalition scenarios rather than any decisive shift in underlying party strength.
