Recent polls for the September 20, 2026, Berlin Abgeordnetenhaus election show the CDU hovering near 19-20 percent, locked in a close contest with Die Linke at 19-22 percent amid a fragmented field that also includes the AfD, Greens, and SPD. The July withdrawal of prior CDU lead candidate Kai Wegner and replacement by Stefan Evers produced modest stabilization for the party without a decisive rebound. Proportional seat allocation with a 5 percent threshold amplifies small vote-share shifts into variable totals, keeping projected CDU seats tightly clustered around the 30-39 range. Upcoming surveys, candidate debates, or turnout patterns among swing voters could widen or narrow these intervals ahead of election day.
