Arizona's 6th congressional district remains one of the nation's most competitive House seats heading into the November 2026 general election, with Republican incumbent Juan Ciscomani facing Democrat JoAnna Mendoza after both cleared their July 21 primaries. The district's narrow partisan balance—reflected in 2024 results near even—has produced consistent polling margins within or near the margin of error, including a March survey showing Mendoza ahead 47-44. Forecasters classify the race as a toss-up or lean Democratic, citing midterm dynamics that typically favor the opposition party, Mendoza's fundraising strength as a Marine veteran challenger, and the seat's history of close outcomes. These elements underpin trader consensus favoring the Democratic nominee while leaving room for shifts from national conditions or late-cycle developments.
