Morocco’s legislative elections on September 23 have produced a tight contest among the main coalition partners, with PAM leader Fatima Ezzahra El Mansouri holding a modest edge in trader pricing as the potential next prime minister. The constitutional process grants the King authority to appoint the head of government from the party securing the most seats in the 395-member House of Representatives. PAM’s collective leadership and El Mansouri’s profile as housing minister and Marrakech mayor have drawn attention amid debates over economic continuity versus change, while RNI under Mohamed Chaouki emphasizes the outgoing government’s record on investment and growth. Istiqlal’s Nizar Baraka and other listed figures trail, reflecting uncertainty over final seat distributions and coalition negotiations that could still shift the leading party before the royal appointment.
