This market will resolve to the next individual who officially assumes the office of Chair of the Regional Board of Region Gävleborg following the 2026 Swedish regional elections. To count for resolution, the individual must be formally elected by the relevant regional council as Chair of the Regional Board. Any interim or caretaker Chair will not count toward the resolution of this market. If no such Chair takes office by March 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve to “Other”. The primary resolution source for this market will be official information from the government of Sweden and Region Gävleborg; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.**Eva Lindberg holds a commanding lead in the market for the next Chair of the Regional Board (regionstyrelsens ordförande) in Region Gävleborg following the September 13, 2026, regional elections.** The red-green bloc (Social Democrats, Center Party, Left Party, and newly gained Miljöpartiet seats) secured a clear majority, ending the previous Moderates-Sweden Democrats-Christian Democrats-SVG coalition.
