**Bosnia and Herzegovina’s October 4 general election for the 42-seat national House of Representatives features a tight contest for third place driven by entity-level vote splits and compensatory mandates under proportional representation.** SNSD, dominant in Republika Srpska, and SDP BiH, competitive in the Federation, sit closest in trader pricing amid recent polling showing SDA and SNSD leading overall popular support while SDP, HDZ BiH, and DF trail. Late-campaign factors include Central Election Commission fines for premature activities that disproportionately affected SNSD, ongoing coalition maneuvering ahead of post-election government formation, and entity-specific dynamics from the earlier Republika Srpska presidential vote. With roughly two weeks remaining, shifts in Federation turnout or RS consolidation could separate the contenders for third, as historical patterns show small vote swings reallocating compensatory seats across the 12 constituencies.
