Upcoming Swedish regional elections on September 13, 2026, keep the contest for Halland's regional board chair tightly balanced among multiple contenders. The incumbent Mikaela Waltersson (Moderates) trades at 37.5% amid competition from Per Svensson at 34% and lower-priced alternatives including Helene Andersson (Center Party). A fragmented council and post-election coalition negotiations between major parties continue to sustain uncertainty, preventing any single candidate from pulling ahead decisively in trader consensus. Limited liquidity on long-shot options leaves most listed names priced at 50%, while scheduled vote counting and subsequent government formation talks represent the primary catalysts that could separate probabilities in the coming weeks.
