A cool northerly airflow from an upper-level trough over central Europe has kept today's high around 12°C—well below the mid-May climatological average of 18°C—limiting solar insolation via thick cloud decks and light precipitation. Model ensembles show tight spreads with low dispersion, reflecting stable synoptic patterns and minimal intensification risk, though brief clearing could nudge toward 14°C; official DWD station measurements at Munich Airport will resolve the market amid inherent short-term forecast uncertainty.
