This setup aligns with the market’s near-even split between 86–87 °F and 88–89 °F outcomes, as ensemble members diverge modestly on cloud cover and timing of any late-day heating. Regional climatology places the May 17 normal around 85 °F, so today’s readings sit slightly above average yet well below records; any unexpected clearing could push temperatures toward the 90–91 °F tier, while thicker clouds or earlier showers would favor the lower 80s.
